Throughout the day you will have a Behind the Scenes opportunity to learn about the work of the museum and view the airframes awaiting restoration and not on general public display.

Military History Weekend

The weekend will see the area around the Museum brought to life by re-enactors, living history camps and historic military vehicles.

Plus tank driving and live firing demos, live 1940's music, WWII small arms talks and live firing displays.

Dalek Invasion Day

The Charity Dalek Squad are coming to The Helicopter Museum to celebrate the Daleks 61st Anniversary. Meet the famous Daleks and other characters from Dr Who. Have your photograph taken beside the Tardis. Watch the live interactive 'Audience With The Daleks Show'. Plus Open Cockpits, Charity Stalls, Fancy Dress Competition and lots more. American Themed Open Cockpit Day

Exclusive cockpit access to our iconic Vietnam Veteran helicopter, the 'Huey' and up close internal viewing of some of the other American aircraft in our collection.

Our Annual event at the museum attracts the best modellers from across the County. See the amazing detail in a wide selection of models and dioramas on display. Model workshops, Open Cockpits, Charity stalls Competitions and Trade stalls.

Dino Weekend

A fun packed weekend of Dinosaurs and Helicopters. Live Dino Shows, interactive 3D backdrop displays, Dinosaur Petting Zoo plus.... World Helicopter Day / Vintage Bus Rally

Come and celebrate as part of this International event with Exclusive cockpit access to our Russian Hind Gunship, iconic Huey, Gazelle, Lynx and 'Movie Star' Mil-8. Vintage Wheels Classic Car Rally

A day of Vintage and Classic Cars and bikes at The Helicopter Museum with a selection of vehicles on display from the 1950s to 1990s. View them all around the iconic WWII Control Tower in our grounds and climb into the pilots seat of some of our helicopters.

Halloween Family Fun Day

An amazing day of Spooky fun for the whole family with free entry for all children in Halloween fancy dress!!

Watch live giant bubble shows in the indoor arena at 11.30am and 12.45pm. Meet the costumed characters on the prowl and explore the haunted graveyard. Climb into the pilots seat of some of our helicopters and try on a pilots helmet. Meet Frankensteins Monster and his younger brother 'Frank'. Have your photograph taken in the stocks. Plus...Facepainting, Charity Stalls and a Halloween Themed Menu in our Cafe.

The Helicopter Museum celebrates its 35th Anniversary

The Helicopter Museum celebrates its 35th Anniversary on Sunday 3rd of November and there will be a day of special themed tours and talks for visitors including:

A Founders Tour - 11am - Founder and Life President of The Museum, Capt Elfan Ap Rees will tell the story of the Museums conception and regale visitors with some of the stories about how he acquired the aircraft in the now world famous collection. (30 persons max)

Restoring A Flying Banana - 2pm - A close up look and talk about the Museums latest conservation project, restoring a H-21 Flying Banana. (30 persons max)

The Helicopter Museum At The Movies - 10.30am and 3pm. A chance to climb aboard the Museum's 'Marvel' Helicopter and hear about the role it played in a recent blockbuster movie, plus a look at the other aircraft in the collection that have appeared in TV and Film. (12 persons max)

Westlands In Focus - 1pm - An in-depth appreciation of our Westland Helicopter exhibits. (20 persons max)

Archive Tours - Available at 10:30, 12:30 and 2:30 via per booking. (5 Persons Max per tour)

Christmas Fun Day

Come and see Santa and meet him in his special woodland grotto. Free present from Santa included with every child's admission ticket purchased on the day!
